Hi, I’m Kirsty — the founder and creative director behind Studio Zahra.
I photograph weddings for couples who want images that feel intentional, candid, and editorial — without the experience feeling stiff or overworked. My approach is relaxed but precise: knowing when to step in, when to step back, and how to quietly shape moments into photographs that feel elevated, timeless, and candid.
I lead Studio Zahra creatively and photograph weddings alongside a small, trusted team. I’m hands-on throughout the entire process — from planning and direction through to editing and final delivery, so our work stays consistent and considered from start to finish.
While our energy on the day is calm and easy, the standard of the work is uncompromising. We care deeply about composition, light, and storytelling, and we take pride in creating images that feel effortless but intentional.
I take on a limited number of weddings each year to ensure every couple receives my full attention, creativity, and care.

Maddi is our associate photographer at Studio Zahra.
She brings a calm, confident presence and an instinctive understanding of our editorial approach. On wedding days, she’s known for her ability to blend in seamlessly, anticipate moments as they unfold, and capture them with intention and care.
Working together allows us to photograph weddings thoroughly while keeping the experience relaxed and enjoyable. Having two of us means more coverage, more breathing room, and the freedom for couples to stay present while we quietly do what we do best.
